8 Quick Tips to Make 2021 a Productive Year
How can we make this year our most productive year yet? With all of the B.S. around us and with big tech telling us what information we are entitled to see, it’s understandable that we’d be distracted. Last year, we were distracted with the COVID shutdowns and our presidential election.
It’s disgusting what is happening in our country. But it’s even more disgusting that we let political events interfere with our personal and business goals. Okay, I know not everyone was distracted by it, but many were. Many were, and still are, anxious about how new legislation will affect us in the future. And now we’re finding ourselves in a new year barely farther ahead than we were a year ago.
We can say, “This year, 2021, is going to be my best year yet!” But what are we doing to make sure that happens? Wouldn’t it really suck if we let another year slip by?
Here are some ideas to help us make 2021 our best year:
1. Focus.
I know focusing is easier said than done, but if we want to work at achieving our goals this year, our focus needs to be there. So, to make this year work for us, we need to focus on the things that matter by setting goals for ourselves and actually sitting down to do the work.
2. Reject temptation.
It’s okay to binge watch TV shows or take a mental break (those are acceptable self-care activities), but only if it’s every now and then. If we want to make 2021 our best year, we need to reject the temptation to procrastinate and make the most of our valuable time.
3. Get excited.
When we’re excited about the goals we’ve set for ourselves, we feel more motivated to get the work done. So, set some big goals and envision yourself meeting them. Feel the excitement and all the other emotions and hold that visualization in your mind throughout the day.
4. Limit screen time.
It’s great to watch the news to catch up on the current events, but I really do believe that if we want to protect our energy levels, we need to limit the amount of time we devote to the news. We also need to limit our time on social media and the internet, in general. And if we can incorporate device-free hours, so much the better. It’s amazing how productive we can be if our electronic devices aren’t within reach every second of the day.
5. Exercise.
An exercise routine, whether a full-blown workout or a ten-minute dance session, is good for both mental and physical health. It releases endorphins, which make us happy, and it improves the flow of energy within the body. It’s also a great way to distract the mind and get it to stop focusing on anxious thoughts.
6. Get out in nature.
The healing properties of the earth are quite something. We can achieve peace simply by setting our bare feet on the ground for 20 to 30 minutes. This process of grounding can improve sleep and reduce cortisol levels (a stress hormone). Nature walks and bike rides can help clear and calm the mind as well.
7. Trust and be patient.
While we’re doing our work, we need to trust in the process of dream manifestation. We must go with the flow, avoid trying to force anything, and hold the faith that everything within our world, everything that we are in control of, will be all right.
8. Increase tapping.
One of the most important tips for making 2021 our best year is to increase our tapping efforts. If we get intentional about establishing and maintaining a daily routine of EFT/Tapping, we will set ourselves up for success. Vibrating at high energy levels will quickly align us with our dreams and desires, paving the way for us to achieve our goals.
So, what is a good routine for EFT/Tapping?
- Tap twice a day (morning and night)
- Focus on visualizing your dreams and desires with a grateful heart
- Tap throughout the day, as needed
