Wake Up! How to Tap Into Energy & Be Productive

Do you feel drained and fatigued during the day while you’re trying to work? Do you feel like laying your head down at your desk and taking a nap? Are you ready for the work day to be done already? And oh my gosh, could the day be dragging on any slower?

If you’re struggling with feeling tired or fatigued, it would be extremely beneficial to figure out why. Maybe we’re having trouble sleeping due to anxiety or insomnia or maybe we’re not feeling inspired and eager to start the day. Maybe we’re afraid to pursue our goals and that fatigue is our way of keeping ourselves safe.

Prevention is the best method, so if you can troubleshoot the issue by getting to the root cause, you can save yourself a lot of time and headache in the future.

So, what do you do when you’re in the throes of fatigue? Here are some helpful steps…

Drink water.
Dehydration is tiring so the first step in tackling fatigue is to drink some water.

Get moving.
Exercise, whether it’s a workout routine or a simple freestyle dance in the kitchen, gets the blood pumping, and blood flow helps to energize the body. Turn on some dance music and move to the beat.

Tap on the points.
EFT (Emotional Freedom Techniques), also called tapping, is an effective way to get energy flowing in the body.

Maybe we’re using procrastination to avoid a particular activity because we’re experiencing a blockage. A fear of success, for instance, could be keeping us from feeling motivated and energized.

Getting to the heart of the matter, the root cause of a blockage, will allow the tapping session to be more effective. So, spend some time considering what is blocking you. Are you procrastinating, and why? Are you afraid of success or completing a task? And why is that?

Then start tapping. You can use the following statements as a guide:

  • “Even though I feel so tired, I choose to love and accept myself anyway.”
  • “Even though I am experiencing fatigue and I feel drained and I don’t know why, I choose to honor how I feel.”
  • “Even though I don’t understand why I have no energy, I choose to deeply and completely love and honor how I feel.”
  • “I don’t understand why I’m so tired, but I trust that the reason why will be revealed to me.”

When tapping, mention how tired you feel and then start posing questions like “Maybe it doesn’t have to be this way. Maybe I am afraid and this fear is keeping me from feeling my best.”
