How to Use EFT/Tapping to Release Stress and Tap Into the Christmas Spirit

Are you having trouble feeling the Christmas spirit? Are you stressed out because there’s just so much to do before Christmas and the end of the year? And let’s not talk about your other personal goals for 2020.

This time of year should be a joyful time spent with friends and family. It’s the season for cheer and good tidings.

But with the coronavirus and all the shutdowns, it’s no wonder we’re feeling extra stress in our lives. And maybe some of us have decided to keep our gatherings small this year because of directives from our state or city governments, so there may be guilt or sadness around that.

While there isn’t much we can go about the state of our world, we can try to make the best of things. So, I want to give you some tapping guidance for getting into the Christmas spirit and into a peaceful state of calm.

Step 1

First, take a slow, deep breath and hold it for four seconds. Then slowly let it out.

Step 2

Next, start with the EFT/Tapping setup statements like these:

  • Even though I’m feeling really stressed, I choose to love and accept myself anyway.
  • Even though I don’t think I’ll ever get everything done in time, I honor how I feel and I choose to love myself anyway.
  • Even though I feel like such a failure this year because I won’t have time to do it all, I choose to love, forgive, and accept myself anyway.

Step 3

Then, tap on the points while reiterating how you’re feeling. Are you stressed? Are you frustrated? Are you sad? Do you feel overwhelmed? Talk it all out.

Step 4

Then, as you continue tapping on the points, say positive statements like these:

  • Maybe I don’t have to do it all.
  • Maybe it’s okay if I don’t get everything done.
  • Maybe I can give myself a break.
  • Maybe everything is going to be okay.

Step 5

If any objections pop up for you, bring those up and tap on the points as you work through them.

Step 6

Then finish with statements like these:

  • I am allowing myself to feel calm.
  • I am giving myself a break.
  • I am allowing myself to feel the Christmas spirit and to feel joy.
  • I love myself enough to allow myself to relax.

Say the things that come naturally to you as you go through this process. I hope this helps you feel at peace.
