The Art of Tapping
Most people have heard of acupuncture. They’ve heard of yoga and meditation. Maybe they’ve heard of Reiki and Tai Chi, too. If they haven’t tried these practices though, they may not be familiar with the benefits. And even then, they may not realize all of the benefits.
Breathing techniques oxygenize the muscles, and movements help stretch the muscles and keep joints lubricated. At the same time, endorphins are released which helps with our mood and mental health. Because of this process, energy in the body is able to move more freely.
While these are excellent methods for healing, there is another healing modality, one that I love the most. And that is EFT/Tapping.
EFT, which stands for Emotional Freedom Techniques and is also known as tapping, is a healing modality that involves lightly tapping on certain acupressure points on the body. It sounds weird to tap on our face, but it does come with pretty great benefits and quick results.
The process of EFT essentially combines traditional therapy with energy healing. Those who practice EFT believe that emotional healing involves digging up the past to uncover hidden subconscious blockages and then using acupressure points to tap them away. It’s basically taking traditional therapy another step farther, allowing us to finally release the hold that certain experiences or beliefs have on us.
EFT is intensely liberating, especially when directed by a certified EFT practitioner. A person can certainly practice EFT/Tapping on his own, but just like with any type of therapy, he can experience quicker results with the guidance of a practitioner.
In my work as a Certified Master EFT Practitioner, I have worked with clients who have lived their whole lives harboring beliefs and negative emotions they developed in childhood. But after our tapping sessions, they are finally able to let those things go and get to a point where the negative emotions or beliefs no longer trigger an emotional or physiological response.
And that is huge!
Imagine thinking back on a past event, one that has caused you grief in some form or another, a negative emotion or feeling or even something you don’t even realize yet, and now, after tapping, you are no longer triggered. You feel totally unmoved by the event.
That’s what tapping does. It helps us release these subconscious blockages so we can live the lives we’ve always wanted but were too afraid or doubtful to pursue.
EFT/Tapping is truly life changing, and it has been a godsend for me in my own personal life. That is the main reason I chose to become a master practitioner of EFT.
